If we do this, we'd like to end up with a single Zoom link (the PMI link) for all our other meetings if possible. When we schedule the Webinar we'll make it recurring, so members will always be able to reference the same Zoom link for sacrament meeting each week.Ģ) For our other Zoom meetings, we are considering whether to continue to use the PMI when possible, so that members are not inundated and confused by lots of different Zoom links. This is my understanding of what our unit is looking at with our impending transition to the Church-provided Zoom account:ġ) We are transitioning to using the Webinar feature of the Church Zoom account for our sacrament meetings, so this will have a unique Zoom link. Class meetings or important staff conversations are more suitable for these types of meetings. Scheduled Meetings As for Scheduled meetings, they are catered more towards bigger audiences and at a specific time. Granted, doing it this way with the PMI, forced us to schedule every meeting individually as opposed to recurring, which is a front-end issue for the Zoom account manager who would have preferred being able to set up recurring meetings and forget about it! Personal Meeting IDs remain the same through the life of the account. This helped them always know where to go for our Zoom meetings, including sacrament meeting, second hour classes, Primary Activities, and others (we were able to work out scheduling, and the benefit of the single Zoom link was desired by our members).

Now, every time you host a meeting in Zoom (unless using the scheduler) your associated Meeting ID and link will be used (these items are redacted in the image above). With our previous unit Zoom account, we used the Zoom PMI (Personal Meeting ID) almost exclusively to create a single 'fixed' Zoom link for our members.
